We have dust everywhere again today. It blew in last night and everything smells and tastes of dust again. It's only 10.30 am and already the headache is developing. We're being told that if they don't get at least 40 mm of rain outback, every time a westerly blows we are going to be breathing their topsoil here on the coast. It's terrible. For us and for them - the poor farmers can't cop a break out there.

I've spoken to a few oldtimers recently, and nobody can remember more than one duststorm like this in their lifetime. And now we've had 4 days like this in a month or so. The weather patterns are definately changing, there's no doubt in my mind about that. Has anyone else noticed extreme changes in your local weather patterns over recent years? It's a bit scary if you ask me.

Hello Scatty. Weather here on the southeast coast has been getting freaky over the past several years. I fear it's going to get worse too. Keeping you folks in my thoughts! I can only imagine what you must be going through.

G'day Ken . Hehehe, I'm really glad you posted a reply here, seems you may be the only one. Funny, I thought I'd get a bunch of people saying YEAH! Us too! Weather is getting freaky all over the world. I guess maybe the subject is a bit boring to people - although it would be nice to believe that nobody else is experiencing weird changes, I'm sure it's not the case.

On a nicer note ... it's a beautiful clear sunny day today. YAY!

glad its clearing up It is weird here too! last year it was aready really cold and windy, and so far, just a light sweater, nothing like last year at all
