London Aquarium.

As the weather is still pouring here and the holidays are in full swing, and as we are all new and keen fishy people I took the girls (8 and 5) to the aquarium in London. Huge excitement at the sharks etc, but also at the display of Harlequin Rasboras which we have at home!!
Theirs were bigger than ours but that ended up being the girls favourite bit. Amazing isn't it? £35 entry plus train fares and they like the one thing we have in the playroom!!!

My favourite was a HUGE catfish, reminded me of the cories....

Oh how fun! I bet the girls enjoyed that.
My girls are 3 years apart also.....of course, they're a lot older than yours but I remember those days, such fun!
Did you take any pics?

Managed to get there before thinking about the camera - how bad is that?

Emily, we booked in advance - and Tab is still 5 so got two kiddy rates!! When they hit twelve will make them lie about their ages!!

Did you walk over the shark tank - that was quite creepy - even though you know its completely safe!!

I spent the whole time wondering about filtration and how they clean the glass....

I'll remember that next time, we turned up on the day lol. I'd reccomend the Blue Planet in Cheshire, it's expensive but AMAZING!

I always think about how they clean and heat and where do they hide that massive sump haha!

Amd I was petrified of the sharks, I'm not the best with animals capable of killing people anyway LOL!

Glad you and your girls had a good day

I'm over in Chelsmford so Londons really good to go in

I'm about 25 mins away just outside Reading, in sonning common. Great to go to London for days out or very nice dinners!
Thanks for the tip - might try that if the rain keeps up or maybe half term.

I didn't know London had an aquarium. My daughter lived in the UK a couple of years ago. She lived in Ely, and worked in Cambridge. We would go into London when I visited. That would have been a good place to spend some time on those cold rainy days. I liked to go to Portabello Road. It was a lot like out Canton Trade Days.
I really loved England. We visited Rome while I was visiting. I had always heard so much about Rome, but I like London much better.
