| Sorry.... I'm going to say no way on this one. The tank doesn't look well-maintained in the pics, and the light appears to be a normal output flourescent. Basically, you'd be limited to the mushrooms that are already in the tank. The metal stand isn't worth much. The seller doesn't specify a make/model on the skimmer, or filter(s). No mention of powerheads.
I don't want to be negative in the least, but I really think you can hold out and do better. I would hate to see you pay too much for a tank that you won't be satisfied with in the long term.
I think if you are willing to offer $250 for this, you could use the 75 g tank your friend gave you to start a FOWLR tank. You could do it for roughly the same cost as you would spend on the CL tank, then slowly switch over to reef (upgrade lighting, etc.) as funds allow. The tank on CL really isn't suited for reef anyway in its current incarnation... so what do you think? |

| I value your op Harpua, tis why I asked. The tank I have has piping coming from the bottom. I wouldn't know where to begin with setting it up. If it wasn't for the nano coming with everything I'd be lost. Guess it's time to research. I'm gonna take some pic's of the tank tomorrow and maybe you can give me some ideas as to what all I'd be needing.
I'll pass on the craigs tank though for sure. |

| Even better- you have a reef ready tank. Can you post a pic so I can see it? I'd like to see if it has overflows, or if it's drilled in the back like ours. It was difficult at first for us to set up a tank with a sump, but now that we've done it I wouldn't want it any other way.
What other equipment did you get with it? Was a sump included? A return pump (this is different than a powerhead)? If you're not sure what some of the equipment is, please post a pic of that too and I will try to help.
Let's see some pics! |

| Nothing came with it, except for the stand. That's why it's still sitting in the back of my truck. I don't know what the heck to do with it. I just may dump it for all the good it'll do me. I was under the impression when he offered me the tank that it would at least come with something. I was to upset to tell him no thanks. |

| Don't dump it, friend. A reef ready tank is worth even more than a regular one. Post pics and I will consult w/ hubby and try to advise on plumbing. It's quite intimidating at first, but makes a TON of sense after you do it... heck, we're going to start plumbing another tank as soon as we get or make a sump.
Do you have a 20 gallon or so that you can turn into a sump? If you don't know what I'm talking about, take a look at my upgrade thread about the 50 gal. I'm pretty sure I posted a pic of the plumbing and sump.
The most important thing to remember is, you can do this. All the parts you need, other than the bulkhead(s) and possible Loc Line, are at Lowe's/HD. |

| I would have offerd his $1.00
That's what is says in the title of his add! Plus he had counter, both against CL rules. Flag his butt. Hehe.
Sorry it didn't work out for you, but maybe with harpua2002's help you'll be able to get the tank you have up and running. |

| I have to agree with Lucy and would have asked "I'm ready to pick it up do you want that in one bill or in change". I don't know squat about salt tanks but from my prospective that one looks kind of sick. Fresh water has it challenges alone and as much as I like to have a salt tank no way would I even consider it without having a basic grasp on what the options are, how to start, and what is required to maintain one given my resources including source water doping requirements, not to mention mental readiness. No way I'm ready even though I covet the idea. |

| Nice. The thing in the middle is an overflow box. One of the holes is for a drain, the other is for a return. You'll need a tank to make a sump out of, new bulkheads, and new plumbing parts, and a return pump. |
