soooo... What I miss for the past few months?

I gave up on keeping fish. I lost my set of trapdoor snails and BN plecos. I will stick with reptiles till I move out. My fam and I are hoping to leave this town as we got complaints on our chickens and cars. We have 3 cars in the driveway that we use and had complaints from some moron with no life. My great grandma was in the hospital with neumonia and she is 95 years old. She was released today. all in all it has been one heck of a year.

Thank you. I am really happy my GG got out of the hospital. My mom had some relaly bad thoughts. As for the other guy. I have such pity for him. I know there is one in ever neighrhood. Whats next? House is the wrong color or maybe my car needs a new paint job cause its to scratched?

Glad your Great grandma is better
Yes there's one in every town, neighborhood etc. Hold your head up and do the best you can, don't let some one else drag you down to their level.
What kind of reptiles do you have/hope to have?

i have my leopard gecko for over a year now and will be getting her a b/f next year and pray to have some babies. Next on my list may be a bearded dragon but I am not sure. I may also get a chameleon. If not then maybe a couple tree frogs.

I really like bearded dragons but don't have the facilities to take care of it.

I wonder if the bearded dragons you're talking about are the ones we have everywhere around here? What country are they native to?

And I'll swap you neighbours - mine have been keeping us awake with thumping music and drunk traffic for nights on end. And no police to call in this small town at 12 or 3am. (10 or 11am for that matter)...yawn....

@ carol, They are very cute. I dont have much room for one but been cleaning an reorganizing. We are also loaded with crickets so might as well se them.

Bearded's are native to Aussie. I know what ya mean though. Got the same problem here down the road. People blaring music out their vehices. Over 7 people have these really, really loud subs in the back and I can never sleep. I like that.kind of stuff but not at 4AM

Yeah, exactly - have your music, but remember that some people like to sleep!

So it is our bearded dragons you're talking about. Go for a walk down to the creek here and they're everywhere. All you can hear is the rustling of leaves and splashing as they all bolt for the water and drop in. Or pretend they're a log thinking that you cant see 'em. want me to catch one for you?

Have a feeling we wouldn'tstand a chance. They're quick little buggers.

build a primitive trap of 1 egg crate, 2 bricks, a long piece of string, a stick and a bug underneath it all. :P but yah they are going for around $75-$100 here. The translucent ones which I love are around $200.

Ah, so clever. Reckon it'd wanna be one tasty-looking bug though - we have no shortage of those either I had images of running and diving through the air trying to nab one by hand Figured they'd make me look foolish though.

You know, I don't think they'd be much cheaper to buy here. Well - maybe the same only in Aus $. We have really strict laws on keeping native reptiles (any reptiles actually). You need to have a licence, and register on some kind of database from what I understand (my brother has some lizards, so my info is 2nd hand). Of course, I understand that's to protect our native wildlife from people doing precisely what we've been discussing . The Translucent ones are cool, huh? Don't see them in the wild!

I really want to get a license to capture my own but I would only keep like 2. We have rat snakes around us and if you go more south in the states to florida. Morons let go of their reps in the wild. Some of them are boas, pythins and iguanas. Why dont they just put them up for sale or bring them to the local shelter?

I don't think you can get a license to capture your own over here. You have to have one to keep them, but I'm pretty sure you still have to buy em. I think because it's so strictly regulated (and our MUCH smaller population) people release reptiles rarely, as they'd have to account for what happened to it. I'm sure it does happen though, but you don't hear about it as often as over there. More often it's illegal smugglers shipping our wildlife (reptiles and birds) out. I hate that. Seeing the poor little things in tubes - they rarely even survive the trip. SO wrong!
