There are special licenses you have to have....Being a transhipper is a LOT of responsibility...You have to pick shipments up at the airport Etc.....The list goes on and on...

Yeah, that's what I wondering. It seems like something I'd be interested in doing when I got older. Would be amazing to have all those beautiful bettas coming through my home.

That would be an amazing job Amanda Just think of all of the aquabid bettas you could add into the shipments that you receive

I was thinking about that, if I eventually became a trans-shipper, then I could buy the bettas fromn thailand and not have to pay express shipping to have them shipped to me.

That would be so cool! You would just have to pay the regular cost and the $5 import fee

Being a transhipper is a lot of work and responsibility....There was a workshop at the IBC convention given by Linda Olsen about transhipping....I think I'll just pay the extra costs lol...

Well, it's something I'd be interested in when I'm a little older in a few years. I like a challenge.

Another thing to think about is the breeders in Thailand that you will deal with. While i am sure there are many reputable breeders in Thailand, I along with a transhipper near Syracuse were ripped off. I was out 70 dollars but the poor transhipper was out 1,000's. Aquabid and paypal never did get our money back. Apparently it was one guy with like eight usernames..its a very long story but apparently the man is a very dangerous felon. Again, not to scare you..i just want to give you something to think about.
