Panic or what?

After all I've been through with my 75g in the last week. Having lost 5 fish to the evil fish killing devil and one having no faith in me at all decided to fly the tank, I was trying to make up to them all by buying them some tasty crawlers.

Well they loved it! My BP's in particular. One so much so that after a rather healthy bite she decided she was gonna die and go to fishey heaven.

Oh heck no I said over me dead body! I scooped her up and yes folks I truly did preform CPR on my fish. No our lips did not really touch although I was willing to go that far iffin I had to. She was laying upside down on the bottom of the tank! What would ya'll have done?

I shook her silly! She actually BURPED a bubble. I set her in the net (a very big one) and she settled on the bottom of it. I was about to cry. I walked into the kitchen to finish supper and as I walk back (praying) to the tank to my wonderious joy she was sooooooooo peeeeed off trying to get outta the net. I hope she learned her lesson about biting off more then she could chew

Im so glad to hear that your BP survived. You have to remember, the BRPs suck in their food, and no doubt the size of the food you gave her choked her. Please take this as a lesson learned and thank God she is ok, and make small pieces for your Parrots, they can really choke and suffocate on the food if its too big.

Lesson learned, trust me. She actually wasn't even supposed to get that piece. She took it right outta the mouth of my Grn Sevrum, who's mouth is big enough for an entire crawler.
I'm very proud that I saved her life! I just might become a paramedic for fishes

Good job on the rescue!

But don't count on them learning any lesson froom it, not if your fish are like mine. My goldie had a pellet stuck last week, caused me to sweat about a hundred buckets , but she didn't seem to mind. All the while, she was still trying to sift through the bottom, looking to stuff more in. The little bugger. I swear, fish are gonna be the death of me. LOL They're always getting themselves into trouble it seems. Just tonite, I fed some gel food that wasn't gelled enough , so it fell apart all over the tank. There's the little hoover, racing across the 30gallon with her mouth wide open. Looked like this >>> LOL

I just had the best visual of you doing cpr on a fish.

Seriously though, I am so glad that your BP is okay. It is so scary when fish choke on food. I had to pull a piece of food out of the throat of my rainbowfish the other day and I was totally freaked!
