Rare Betta

I was wondering if these type of bettas are rare because I saw one that looks exactly like the one in this video in a LFS except without the black head. It's even the reason why I just started a new aquarium for a betta!

That strain of betta is called a blue butterfly They are very pretty and one of my favorite types of bettas. They are not hard to come by if you go through a betta breeder, but they are harder to come by at the LFS. I did find one at Petco once though

Yeah I really wanted that betta I saw in my LFS but I think it was reserved for someone else and of course I didn't have a tank set up. I also saw a pure white betta which isn't albino because it had black eyes.

Edit: My friend said that he spotted one of these betta at a store as well but it was red.

Pure white bettas are usually referred to as Platinum bettas, and yes they are gorgeous! When are you planning on getting your betta?

That is a gorgeous Blue/white butterfly ... You are very lucky if you find those types and one's as gorgeous as that one,at your LFS. You will just have to get that extra tank going in order to go and buy one of those beauties!

When the cycle finishes with my 4.6 gallon tank then the betta hunt will begin! I'm probably going to spend like a month looking for a betta.

They are so addicting, I doubt it will take you a month to decide. One is going to jump out and grab your attention, and you won't be able to help bringing him home
