Welll.....
Who wants to hear about my day? lol.
I decided to check out a new LFS today in Fishkill, NY - Fishtopia. Very nice store, HUGE SW section. Anyways, I decided to ask one of the workers about my wet/dry filter since they use them at the store. Dave, very nice, attempted to explain everything to me, even made me work on one of the stores filters. lol. So long story short, he ended up coming to my house to try to show me how it works & such. He came out for free, which was very nice. We got the 114 gal. inside & water tested it....it leaks.
So I have a friend with a bearded dragon that's going to take it for her. I don't know why, but Dave I guess felt sorry for me, he's giving me a 90 gal. that he has sitting around. He's also going to help me turn a 20 gal. L into a sump for my filter, and help me set it up. Good to know there are some nice people out there...

OH NO!!!!!!!! that really stinks im sorry amanda.....at the same time, kudo's to dave!!! now and then its so very nice to hear an employee at a LFS knows their stuff and really cares...have him join us here

Wow sounds like you had a busy day. Bummer about the 114 gallon tank That was really nice of Dave to come over and help and to give you the 90 gallon. He sounds like a really nice guy

That's awful about your tank leaking. Can't it be repaired? Congrats on the new 90 though.

Is it a crack? Or a issue with the seal? If it's the seal, I wouldn't get rid of it...

It's an unknown crack in the seal somewhere. And I am NOT resealing that whole tank!!
It's okay though, b/c it was free to me, so I'm giving it free to someone with a lizard that can use it. It's still going to be put to good use.

I'm glad someone will enjoy it. I resealed a leak in a 37 gallon once and then resealed it again and again and again. No fun in that. Besides with a 90 gallon you'll be able to reach the bottom without scuba gear, maybe lol

I want an albino tiger. If I COULD find one, I'd get a lemon. But no one carries them around me.

Are you sure it leaked. I mean,I set up a tank about 7 days ago and for 24 hours it was fine,so in the morning I went out. Came home it looked like a small leak. I took it down and filled it the brim in the wet room, and for seven days it hasn't sprung a leak. I live alone so I'm not in the position for practical jokes but why don't it leak anymore?

No, mine def. leaked, lol. The floor under the tank was all wet.

There is no hood. We literally filled it up 4 in. with my python & it was already leaking.
