| Made over the 120gallon and stocked it!! Hey all,
Good news....I redid my 120 gallon and finally stocked it. I transferred my 4 Angelfish and 3 cories over. It will be a community tank. I'm going to get 5 more cories and I'd like a large group of a smaller schooling fish in there. Any suggestions??..Other then that I have no ideas yet...I have a ton of room to play with so any ideas on stocking would be awesome. I'm sooo glad I finally decided on what to do with this tank, I'll be getting a ton of live plants in there to fill it out and take all the fake ones out. It's not great yet but I def have a good start. Here are some pics and I'll keep them updated as I get plants. What do you all think?? |

| Cesch that's so exciting! It's about time you stocked this tank girlie It looks great so far, and I can't wait to see it when you get it fully planted. I would suggest adding some dwarf neon rainbows and some bolivian rams Keep us updated with pics! |

It just never ends around this house...I'm going to have to rehome my Birchardi's to seperate places because the bigger one decided to attack the smaller one and ripped him up pretty good. I'm just healing up my little guy and spoiling him then I'll find homes for them..Evidently they are both males.
But then I'll have my 16 gallon empty too...that might just be a grow out tank though. |

| im a huge fan of endlers these days, im not sure how they would fare with angels, but you could drop a couple of pairs in and you would have a tank full of endlers in just a couple of months lol. they are however a little on the small side so until your tank had a large number of em they would almost appear non-existant |

I have my two year old Angel in with my BRPs and have no problems, so I would have to say yes to being able to add them together in a tank. |

| Thanks guys!!. I like the way it's turned out so far.
I'll look into BRP. I love them but kinda leary of big fish ya know..lol..I know I'll have to get over it eventually so BRP might just be that opportunity.
What kind of plant would you recommend Shawnie...It Java Fern big enough. I have low lighting so that's always a problem. |

| I love BR parrots, i love what they look like and love their personality.
What kinds of plants are you looking at? And what kind of lighting?
AND..... if it's really so overwhelming, I'd be more than happy to take the chore off your hands

| Cesch, there are some sword plants that do well in low light. What is your WPG?
Another couple fish to consider:
Torpedo Barbs (Roseline Sharks)
Gold Nugget Pleco
Blue Acara
Rainbow Cichlids
Apistogramma Cichlids |

| Loaches! You need a large school of Dwarf Chain Loaches, at least 10-20
There are larger loaches that would love your tank but with the chains you could have a larger school because of their size. They won't harm your angels either.
Dwarf Rainbows are awesome. Also Threadfin Rainbows( Iriatherina werneri) are nice in a large school(and they do school). I have six and just love them. |

Also, I'd have at least 12 corys in a tank that size.. depending on the size of the cory that is. 8 cories, I think, will get lost in the massiveness of the tank. That's just my opinion though. You have a large enough footprint that tehre is plenty of room for a decent shoal of cories and loaches. I've found my striata tend to be messy eaters, behind my CA's, and then the plecos come in behind them and clean up. Cories would probably work better in the clean up crew there behind the loaches and CA's but my tank just isn't big enough.
I'm stoked to see what you end up with though If you look in to a different group of cories then what you have already, the schulztie(think I spelled that right) are absolutely beautiful. they are black with hints of yellow on them, I believe. I'll see if I can find some.
Found a pic finally: Last edited by FL CommunityFans; May 3rd, 2009 at 03:48 PM.

Apistogramma Cichlids | Ok..Honestly I have no idea..I can't figure it out. lol..I can on all my other tanks but not this one.
Maybe you'll know.
I have 30.5 inch lights. The bulbs themselves are 24" but have the light fixture of 30.5 each. I have two of those and this too. The Coral life bulbs are 21.5 inches long...I can't find wattage anywhere on these but maybe the pics will help. I have 2 of the first pic.
Edit: I changes the length of the Coralife. I guess I was in la la land. Last edited by CHoffman; May 3rd, 2009 at 08:58 PM.

| I must be a goon...lol..I'm soo confused. The first one (eclipse) doesn't have the right length of mine for mine and mine actually has two different bulbs in there. they are not both 10k. I dont' know what the Acintic is for or what wattage it is.
On the second link I can't find the natural day light one....I'm sure it's because I'm a ding dong when it comes to lights. |

| I thought it was too...I hope they arrive ok..They are being shipped internationally..I've never done this before so we'll see. At least they are not fish..but for some reason I still would feel really bad if they didn't make it..lol..I know it's just a plant but it's living..lol..My husband thinks I'm a dork, which I don't argue with, I guess it's a girl thing. I hadn't really thought about it then the seller mentioned that he would guarantee them if they were DOA and it kinda made me sad..lol...Ok...I'm done being weird now.
Carol I know you have BEAUTIFUL planted tanks so maybe I could talk you into giving me some advice on how to plant and attach these Java Ferns... |

What do you use to attach java ferns to driftwood or rocks?? |
