Good morning everyone. The new kitchen is coming right along. The new add on section (about 3x5 and ceiling high) is complete on the out side, windows installed, sliding doors have been removed and replaced with a 24" door. They worked on wiring yesterday. The rest of the kitchen is completely gutted. All of the wood for the new cabinets and the tongue and groove ceiling has been stained. New oven arrived, new 2 burner stove top arrived. We picked out the granite for the counter tops and we have the new tile also. I'm taking lots of pics. I'll post before and after pics once it's all done. I'm very excited. Before we could only seat 2 at the bar and 1 behind it. The area is only about 8x10. When we're finished we should be able to seat 8 comfortably. My fish tank took the place of the kitchen table years ago
My other half is a chef and we have an industrial outdoor kitchen, so not having one in the house hasn't been too bad. I miss the sinks though.
My fish are troopers. I've been keeping them covered as much as possible. I keep the lights off during the hottest part of the day anyway so it's not a big change for them to be covered. It's 6am and feeding time. Take care!
