when your husbands company moves to a new office space you start tossing suggestions of the company funding a rather LARGE aquarium for the lobby...that you would gladly donate your time to setting up and maintaining.
You might have MTS if you are looking at a new house and the "must have features" is a basement or large fish room!
And you are trying to find a removal firm to transport all the tanks 1700miles in 2 days! So your fish will be in bags the shortest amount of time possible!
LOL, I've already decided that if/when I ever get to buy a house, it will be basement-less on a concrete slab (my mom has such a house) so I never need worry about tank weight on weak floors like I do now!
(so I guess, You know you have MTS if...criteria for supporting/placing your fish tanks determines the construction of the house you're going to buy! )
the memory in your camera has more pictures of fish and tanks than pictures of your own family members.
Guilty of this... that's all I use my camera for.
Speaking of MTS, I'm about to have a 4th tank in the house! Since the asian bumblebee catfish didn't get along with the other fish, my older sister is setting up a 20g planted tank just for him in her room
I was offered a trip to Chicago all expenses paid. For a vacation to boot!!!
I asked for the money instead so I could buy another tank and some fish...yuppers I got it badness!!! MTS all the way baby!!!
Um, when its your aniversary, birthday, valentines day, mothers day you ask for plants, substrate, fish,tanks, and coral instead of flowers and jewelry. My aniversary last year I got my biocube saltwater reef, mothers day last year I got the 5g hex with a betta, my birthday I got the 29g tank with wood hood/cabinent, christmas I got a ton of coral, the list goes on lol.
I guess the above is why I don't have any expensive jewelry.

...You're considering setting up tanks at your bf's house so that you can get more fish
...You have banned yourself from Petco because you can't go in there without rescuing a betta, which will then need a new tank...
...Your parents are concerned that you'll blow the circuit in your room because there's so many plugs and power strips
...if you're so anxious for the delivery truck to arrive from a shipment of fishies that you spend all day feeling like you're going to vomit at any moment (yes I just experienced this today).
You might have MTS if you find and old tank... spend hours cleaning it only to realize it can't hold water... and then grin because you have another excuse to go the FLS.
