I don't have any fish atm but am going to be adding 2 Orands shortly! yay! anyway, I have had my eye on these two for awhile and payed for them at the store 3 weeks ago! (so they wouldn't sell them lol) I told the lady that works there the minute my tank is safe and cycled I will come and pick them up! Their names are Finn and Pebbles!!

I try to name them all. My two Zebra Danios are Lep and Zep.
My dwarf Gourami is Blue. The Opaline Gourami is Opal. There is Mrs and Mr. Cherry Barb. My Albino Cory is not named yet but her fellow Cory Cat is Spot. I have two Bloodfin Tetras and have only named one as Horatio Bloodfin. The other one is new and a name has not popped into my head yet. I have two Red Eye Tetras. One is Red and the other is Moe. Then there are my two Blue Flame Tail Tetras. I'm still thinking of names for them too. Then there is Tiger my Tiger Barb. Notice a theme?

I name all my fish. The ones in the LOTR themed tank are Treebeard, Skinbark and Leaflock (gouramis), Gandalf and Saruman (CAE's) and Glorfindel (guppy.) The male mosquitofish are Hector and Achilles, the female is Pouter, and the 12 fry are the apostles.

I name the fish with personality. Ruby (rainbow shark) and Sonny Boy, Buster a/k/a Bust-A-Move (although my husband calls him Bust-A-Nut) and Groucho (blood parrots). My loaches were all Baby because I couldn't tell them apart. And when I had my betta sorority, they all had names of flowers.

The fish in my aquarium are all named (except my general pleco). I live with two roomates so we usually try and pick good names for them. And for some reason all of our fish start with a B name My redtailed shark's name is Bajaws.. My Gourami is Big Bertha.. i have a black and white fish (not sure what kind though) that is named Boreo. My turquoise rainbow is named B-GLO (named after my roomy whose nickname is J-GLO) My blood parrots are named Butch and Bozowki.. My gold nugget pleco is named "Botof Gold" ..I LOVE HIM!... and our eel..who is FULL of energy all the time.. is named after my colleges football head coach... Beel Snyder (named after K-states Bill Snyder )

Like most of you, some of the schooling fish, I can't tell apart so they are unnamed. Pairs will work though.

Oh rob those names are to dang cute. Love the Cheech and Chong. Do the fish swim around in a tank full of smoke like they did in the car? Cracked me up. I laugh just thinking about it.

Sort of... I encourage my kids to name them, but if they don't I end up naming them I sort of end up thinking of one anyhow. The red Glofish is "Elmo 2" (the first Elmo died), and the Dalmatian Molly is "Sparky", which I find hilarious. I think of the Marigold and Sunburst Platys as Tweedledum and Tweedledee (they look the same except for tail color), and the Swordtail as Bruce, but those names aren't officially kid-sanctioned.

I'm the lone "other" because we have named fish but they are my daughter's. She named them with some guidance because she wanted to name them all the same. . If someone could explain to me how a dalmation molly is named "Milk" I'd appreciate it.
