I name all the fish tank have a special connection, ie, Gilbert is the first fish to be born and survive in my tank. Darwin is my Gourami, Daisy is my massive white guppy, Flora is my odd-tailed guppy, Sunny is my other one

hence, my male betta is called simon.
he's the most beautiful iridescent blue with a black head and flashes of red around the fins and gills.

we have 12 tiger barbs, so its hard to name them all! but the smallest one, we named harry potter. despite his size, he is one of the most aggressive in the tank

I name all of em. My brother wanted those glofish, but I said no because I wanted to name them, and wouldn't naming things that looked exactly the same be hard? I have Sunny the guppy ad Otto the otocinclus catfish. I even have names for one of my future fish I'm getting! Moe the blue platy.

I named my male guppy macho man because he harassed all of the other males until he was the only one left. My goldfish's name is fins. The rest I didn't name.

Since I just finished cycling my tanks and don't have any large shoals yet I've named all my fish. If I end up getting a shoal of tetras or other fish that are hard to tell a part I'll probably just come up with names but not know which fish are which.

Currently I have:
20 gal goldfish: 1 comet named Bob Dylan and 1 red oranda named Spot (both juveniles)

20 gal tropical: 1 pictus catfish named Stimpy and 3 male guppies named Mac, Cheese and Tango

I name some of my fish, but not all of them. Like I named my lobster, Mr. Pinchy, I named some of my bettas, when I had them, and a few of the others who I could tell apart from my other fish.

My kids love to name the smallest fish Littley but they always grow and then you can't tell them apart. We have named our bettas, and we have a platy And a betta named Baby because they were born in our tanks. My daughter who is a HUGE Harry Potter fan named our Demasoni's James, Lily and their son Harry. All the other fish are nameless, not that we don't love them any less.

My son names every living critter that comes into our house, including his bugs . Consequently, all of our fish have names, but a couple of them have grown and I can no longer tell them apart. He claims he still can, but I suspect he's tricking me....

I name the ones I can recognise! My betta boys, Mars and Neptune. My male baby guppy Randy (and yes he is...). My long finned danio Finny (the other danios are jointly called Fatty!). My first baby female guppy that came out black-grey, Blackie. And tere was a teeny little neon that did not grow much and eventually got sucked into my filter, RIP Honky (my brother chose the name!). Finally one of my female guppies, Bluey as she has a blue and black tail. How original...

Well I call my betta betta, i can't be bothered to call him siamese fighting fish around my family members, who don't know about fish, so i named him betta so that i can call him betta..does that make sense? lol
My Giant Danio is just Giant Danio, my clown loaches are my clownies, though i can tell them apart so theres the big one, the dark one and the small one. My Kuhlii loaches are my snakies, my neon rainbowfish is my rainbowfish, my angelfish are my angels, for now theres the big angels (two black ones) and the little angels (one koi and one dark sparklyish one), my siamese algae eaters are my skarkies, my bristlenosed pleco is just pleco and my otos are my otos...I thinks thats it for my fish

If you only have a 10 gallon tank (my case), naming all the fish is easy. With my danios, I have one male (easy to distinguish) and two females: one long-finned and one short-finned, so telling them apart is no problem. With the kuhlis, all you need to do is look closely at their body patterns.
