Well, after much searching I have decided to go with the 125 g tank. Its a 6ft long tank that is 18 inches wide and 22 inches tall. With a nice chunk of Income tax return coming in about two weeks my husband said.. happy Valentines Day!
Only thing now is that he has to start building the stand/cabinet for it. If anyone has any construction plans for one or know of a good site where there are plans for aquarium stands please let me know. Im going to do some research and see if I can find any today.
Yesterday while at Petsmart for more fish food I picked up a few items to help jump start the cycle. I bought two bags of the AquaClear bio Max and a few sponges. The biomax will go on the gravel in the 55 to collect BB and the sponges will be added to filters in all the tanks. That should help speed up the cycle when the stand is ready.
I also realize this is going to be a slow process since I will only be able to move a few fish at a time as to not disrupt what BB I will have growing in the 125. Hopefully in a months time it will be running with all the fish that need to be in there. Finally the JDs and the convict will have a bigger tank (moving them to the 55) and hopefully will start growing more.
Husband decided to buy it all new, said where is the warranty on a used tank that you buy on craigslist? That really threw him off of buying used I guess.
Anyway... a lot of work to come for sure. I have to also move the 55 from where it is as well to another part of the room. The couch will be in a odd position in the living room til its all done lol.. gawd... this is going to be a handful for sure! But Im looking forward to it...

I stopped by startbucks this morning and picked up 2 small mocha latte's (btw the economy in pensacola florida can't be that bad as I was suggesting in another thread I guess because there was a freaking line at starbucks!!... though maybe it's cause it was the first cold day after a week of mid 70's-80's.)

Anyhow, bought my wife one not thinking about it, she had lapband about a month ago. I thought I was being sweet and loving and making sure it didn't have whip cream. She looks at me with those eyes that said "Oh look, he was trying to be sweet but he screwed up!" Then tells me if it was a 'skinny' she could have it but because she's trying to do better on her diet with the band she doesn't want to take it. Freaking band surgery all because of some baby weight... blah!


doh.. sorry I started a hijack.. just ignore the above.

My point was I'm good on coffee and in a posting rampage/fury! lol!!

My poor child.. she thinks Im nuts with all this coffee I've put down. Every time she has a song come on and starts dancing I jump and start dancing with her, she laughs but I know she's really laughing AT me!
