My dog just fetched the cat...

I am so upset w/ the dog right now! I heard the cat squall and all at once the dog was dragging her to the living room by her neck!

I don't know what I am going to do w/ these animals. I cannot let the dog abuse the cat like that. Jinx was here first! The poor cat has been sitting under my feet, looking at me like "thank you mommy for getting that evil dog off of me!" (I don't think she used nice language though).

steveangela1 - LOL! I know it it's probably a terrible ordeal for the cat... but it does sound funny if you think about it.
the cat will have to stand up for itself! - but how do you tell a cat to do that right? maybe give the dog a hiding when he does that again... some how he needs to understand that is NOT ok to do that.

She got scolded and told to go to her spot. She has a "spot" I send her to when she gets in trouble.

The poor cat weighs 30+ lbs so its prob hard for her to be too aggressive.

Does your dog know the leave it command? You could try teaching the dog "leave it" and anytime the dog goes by the cat, tell the dog "leave it".

I like the "leave it" idea! However the issue w/ the cat is they snuggle up and sleep together, weird! They fight all day and then sleep together all night, you would think they were married!

Jinx is still p/o ed at the dog right now... I feel for the dog when she finally lets her have her payback.

I picked her up a few min ago and petted her, she seems okay after the horrid drag through the house.

Is your cat declawed? If not, she will probably take a swipe at the dog if puppy tries to mess with her too much.
