Finally!!!

We finally got some wigglers...I have been trying to let my angelfish do their own thing with the eggs. And well since they rather make them into snacks. Our black pair of angels spawned. I left the eggs for a day to assure they got fertilized. Then I moved them to the 5 gallon fry tank. treated it with blue and such, picked the white eggs off periodically thru the day. I got up this morning to find al the eggs off the slate. I just about paniced until seen moving in the bottom of the tank... I turned off the filter system. To see I have around 100 or so wigglers!! but my question is I have some white eggs within them... I am scared to tinker with the tank too much... do i take em out or do i just let them hang out.

congratulations! unfortunately i'm not very familiar with angel breeding, so i can't answer with certainty, but i'd say tentatively to remove the white eggs, as i think that they can grow fungus and bad bacteria pretty quickly which could spread to the other fry. but that's just a guess

good luck!

awesome!! isnt it fun to have wigglers....at this point, id boil some tweezers and make sure you hands are free of any soap or cleaners and get the white eggs out..alex is right about fungus..keeping that tank prestine will be the success or failure of the fry...heres a great link to read up on feeding and raising of them http://fins.actwin.com/species/angelfish.html

Well actually I used an infants medication dropper.. brand new not used..to get most the bad eggs out, but i have a problem some of the wigglers seem to be holding on to a few of the bad eggs....and now lessons on how to hatch brine shrimp....nothing like feeling like new mom
