I know the crabs need salt to survive I was wondering how much they need and if the fish I currently have will tolerate the salt. Also the plants I have are Java Fern Jungle Fern and a dying Banana Plant. My aquarium information is up to date for my fish list.

There are freshwater crabs, but they do better in terrariums, as they need a place to get out of the water at times.

Pretty much most of the fish you have listed wont tolerate the salt the fiddler needs to survive. Also, they need an aquarium/terrarium where they have access to a dry surface and air.

They would do ok in a brackish tank with brackish fish, and none of the ones you have will take it.

Yah, I think you'd need to get another tank. just a side note, does the betta work in the 29 gal?

I have ways for the crabs to get to air and dry land, so tha was not a concern. Sux about the fish not being able to tolerate salt though. Does anyone know of any other cool invertebrates?

The Beta does just fine with everyone, as long as the gourmi stays out of his "home" and visa versa they are happy. A few days ago they changed homes and it was very funny watching them sneak into what was their home and see each other then run back to chase each other out of the old home. If that didn't make any since they would run around a big circle following the shadow of the other fish.
