hello

anyone with some ideas please help. i just set up my 125 saltwater tank today after a 4 year hiatus. We made a couple quick moves a while back and i got tired of tare down and set up. Anyways like riding a bike little bits are coming back along with help from our local store. issue is with my drain IT GURGLES REALLY LOUD!!!! Its the type that spills in the basket goes over the top into the back basket and then down the drain. Picked up a sponge for drain (tube type w/hole and piece of sponge to top hole off) no luck still gurgle gurgle. tried trapping and straighting run with tube to wetdry still no luck. I'm sure its simple i just can't remember, but i do remember never hearing this racket. Any ideas thanks for the help.

I made a DIY one for the overflow of my 90 gal, and it seems to be working pretty quietly.

I second this, i have this set up for all my overflow pipes and the noise is so much quieter.

I have 2 salt water tanks up and running with this in my bedroom and have no problem with excess noise.
