identity crisis

i have 6 guppies in my 20gal tank right now, waiting for cycling to finish before i add corys. i've only had my fish for 4days and they all look exactly the same but i am beginning to notice slight differences in them. for example, there is one that seems to be smaller than his tankmates. at feeding time it takes some of them longer than others to come up and grab food but this one guy, he doesn't come up at all. last night i thought i was gonna have to wait for him and feed him seperately but a couple pieces dropped and smallguy got them and then merrily went on his way scouting out the gravel bottom. does he think he's a cory or what? is he gonna catch on and learn to come up to eat, should i pay him special attention or just let nature sort it out? if he keeps this up he is gonna have no chance when the real corycats get added and do all the scavenging.

also, i am doing daily water changes to keep ammonia levels down and a few of my guys seem suicidal around that hose, they love to tempt fate and get as close to the bottom of the vacuum as possible. i have to shake it around a bit to scare them off, are they so dumb they'll allow themselves to be sucked up if i don't pay close attention?

LOL Emmy...
our fish sure can amuse us... some folks have no idea just how much. (unless they are fish keepers that is..)
Hopefully your little one will catch on and most likely will once your cory's take over the bottom of the tank.

I have some cories with my guppies and they ALL eat off the bottom after the top is clear...guppies will establish a pecking order like other fish do...the smaller tend to wait their turn

So glad your not adding any more fish until the cycle is done. You will love Corys they are really funny. I've noticed fish have different personalities too.
