Live Plants

Is it better to use some live plants in your aquascaping for angels?

I just started with angels, and I have all plastic plants at the moment. I do plan on adding live plants such as Val, b/c the angels like tall plants.
Live plants are a nice addition to any tank, but I don't think it's a necessity.

I have tall Val's in my tank. They're quite easy to grow.

As long as your water quality is good the Angels really don't care I do have live plants in with mine but it's because I like them

yes they do help with the water quality. They will use the Nitrates for food.

Yes, they take out some of the bad things in the water. And they add O2 to the water. They can also prevent an algae build-up. Many pluses.

Most LFS sell shoots of easy to grow plants such as java fern, & anubias. And java moss is easy to grow, just secure it to anything in your tank - it's usually just sold out as a mat.

I haven't had much luck growing bulbs, but that's just me.
Someone who has tried to grow them will be around soon I'm sure.

Well the same pair of marble angels laid another set of eggs...water temp is at stable 80 and I pinned a sheet up in front of the tank stand to help prevent activity posing a threat in hopes of fry hatching. I have a 5gallon tank set at 80 everything all balanced out. Question is do I leave the swimming fry in with the parents? It is a community tank with tank dividers with a filter system for a 55 gallon tank at the oppisite end away from them.

**keeping my fingers crossed**
