Sometime in future, I am going to get second tank. Trying to decide what fish to get. I would really like to get a rainbow shark but wondering what is suitable with it?

Would some tiger barbs or something like that be good with them?

Or any other recommendations?

What size tank are you planning in getting?

A pretty big one, not sure of exact size, the one I have now is 35gallons so probably almost twice that or bit less.

A rainbow shark should be fine with Tiger Barbs. But they do need quite big tanks, 50gal or bigger.

So between 55 - 75 gal. then?
Tiger barbs would be good.
Cories as the bottom feeders are cute & active.
You could have other schooling tetras or barbs.

Not sure how peaceful cories would fare with aggressive tiger barbs and rainbow sharks... They would probably be nipped be the barbs.
