I'm 34 now and everyone always 'assumes' I've been doing this for at least ten years, nope just two | You make going back to school at 26 sound so old LOL I was 49 when I went back and got my degree in American Sign Language. Took me 4 yrs to do a 2 yr program because I was working 55hrs a week (WHEW!) Graduated the year after my last child graduated from HS LOL He loved the opportunity to keep track of moms grades (quite a reversal of roles I might add)
So any body out there think it's too late/your too old to learn to do something new.... think again. It's only too late when your dead.
Sorry I'm rambling.

Carol | 26 wasn't 'old' lol....it was a touch weird being 8 years older than the majority of my classmates though.
Think you could you convince my brother of that? he's 37 and is convinced he's 'too old' to do anything so crazy like going back to school (his words)....
That's awesome though. Kudos to you Carol |

| I'm a middle school student aiming to be either a Graphic designer, Architect or a Marine Biologist. All completely different subjects. I doubt I can be a Marine Biologist but seeing that pretty much everyone in my school don't know which fin is the caudal fin I think I might have a chance. |

| I'm gonna be a freshman in highschool but I do work every once and a while doing jobs like petsitting, housekeeping while the owners go on vacation, babysit, breed the tuxedo platies and rehome them for a small price of $1.50 ea., and I work at the local county fair for a payment of just above minumum wage. I'm aiming for a job at the LFS when the time comes. They know me as "the one who supplied them with quality betta care guides", so hopefully that can be a start to a good reputation. Otherwise, I don't do much during the day. |

You can do whatever you want! There is no reason to believe you can't be a Marine Biologist. The world is your for the taking, if only you work for it. |

| There's a couple of threads similar to this.
I forget who started them or what to suggestion you search for.
If I find it I'll merge the threads.
Have you read the member spotlights that appear every month in the FishLore magazine? They're very interesting. Member Spot lights

| Good morning. I've merged 3 threads here which should help to keep down some of the confusion and duplicates.
Thanks!
