Marine Biologists?

Any Marine Biologists or other related studies on this forum? I have been out of college for a year and a half, and would totally go back if I had the money. Ironically my interest in fish as a hobby has sparked my interest in the actual college degree. I currently have a B.S. in Business Administration with a Marketing area of Study.

Here is the major courses from University of Washington, a school I always wanted to go to:

I have a minor in Marine Biology and Bacterial Cell Biology - actually did 3 plus years in Marine Biology - but went into computers and networking (more money but a lot less enjoyable). Of course when i went in the late 70's the field wasn't as wide open as it is now - seemed like everybody at that time was into Marine Biology and Forrestry.

always looks at the occupational handbook before making a career choice.

That major program looks too short compared to most other science degrees (see my other thread). If I'm reading it correctly, it's only 65 credits while most others area around 80. It's easier no doubt...but also less valuable and makes you less employable because you lack that much training.

I would look around to see if someone else has a more thorough program. My school doesn't have marine biology, but check out their biological science program for reference.

And then you can look at my eye-rolling program...100 credits!

Hmm... I've got a friend that's thinking of marine biology (she loves the water and is a scuba addict) She mentioned that one of the best programs is in Australia.
