OMG, Alessa, thats awful

I bet you are so frustrated! You are such a good person to put so much effort into trying to help the fish. I am so sorry that the situation is not improving.
You would think that scientists would put integrity and ethics first, but sadly, it is overlooked by many. My sister is a veterinary technician and deals with sick animals every day. She gets upset with people and tells them that they are abusing animals if they don't buy them flea medicine or they choose not to get an antibiotic to treat their animals. However, she abuses her fish. I have tried to help her with them many times and I even do water changes when I go over to her house. Last time I went over there her 10 gallon tank had about 4 inches of green water in it and the filter was off. Her
betta is in a 1/4 gallon decorative vase. I offered to buy her a 5 gallon tank or give her an extra 10 gallon and she says she wants to use the tank that she has because it was expensive. Ummmm hellooooo! Now she is neglecting her betta and trying to find someone to take him because she wants to get a red one so it will match her room. You would think that her job would teach her something about caring for animals, but some people choose to turn a blind eye to issues that they don't think are important. I am sorry for what you are dealing with, but I know the feeling!
