So I thought it was bad that Petco's tanks were always full of dead fish. But the other day I saw something that made me want to puke. In one of the tanks there was this mass of flesh that I assume used to be an African Dwarf Frog. It was just this mass with the skeleton of its legs sticking out. Pretty much I'm never going to buy a fish from those tanks, and never have (bettas excluded of course).

That's really sad. You'd think people who are in the business of selling aquatic creatures would actually care for them.

Yeah some of those stores are pretty gross...I understand you will have losses in those tanks even kept in good conditions just from the stress of shipping and all...but good golly can't they take a net and scoop them out a few times a day ( I would take one out EVERY time I saw one if it was me) I was at a pet smart a few months ago and there was anoscar the size of a silver dollar or a little bigger ...I thought it was dead as it had no face or eyes and half of the body was eaten....then another oscar went over and took a bite and it tried to swim away...I was horrified!! I complained and an employee finally went and scooped him out..I don't know what he did with it but I hope it was quick...not just tossed alive into the garbage. But no matter what it had to be better than slowly being eaten alive!!
