At the risk of sounding incredibly stupid, how do you pronounce the world "cichlid"?

It's never really been an issue before, but now that I'm working at petco I don't want to pronounce it wrong! I've heard customers pronounce it at least three different ways so I'm not sure which is correct. I'm awful with pronunciation since I've learned all I know about fish from reading websites and never hearing things spoken aloud. (I just learned this week that Platy is pronounced "Plaa-tee" not "Play-tee" so I fell like an idiot for the times I went into the LFS asking for "play-tees")

ETA: I didn't put this in the Cichlid forum since it's not really a question about the fish
