My wife and came home from a weekend away to find one of our gold gourami's injured. Somehow, one of it's pelvic fins (antenna thingies) has been bitten or cut in half. I don't know what happened, but we are worried about this fish. It seems to be healthy otherwise, as it readily came to the surface to eat and scarfed down a nice meal. Is there anything I can do for it?
What's more, we also noticed that one of our tiger barbs color is not as vibrant as the other two we have. it kinda looks faded and washed out. The black and yellow/orange is not as deep. We are not sure now if he was always like this or now we are examining the fish too closely. Is this barb sick?
Also, our powder blue dwarf gourami's never come to the surface during the feeding frenzies. What should we do to ensure that they get enough nutrition? Our molllies, pinapple's, barbs, and sharks all go nuts as soon as the top opens. I know that the powder blue dwarfs are shy, but I never see them eat really. They only seem to eat the TINY little crubs off the flakes that float down, hardly as much as the others. Any thoughts on our ailing fish?
