The intent of Fishlore is not to try and push up your post count. Remember that its the quality of threads and post that make you a very good member, not the quantity of random off topic posts that hold no merit.
Quality posts are what get you remembered as a valued member here, posts with no merit get you remembered in a negative way...

I'm not sure what your purpose for this thread was, JoeJoe, but there seemed to be little, so I don't see much of a reason of leaving it open. People are simply going to keep leaping to conclusions (which may or may not be right), and nothing productive will come from that.
If you were just trying to rack up a post count, people will notice, and it will affect how people feel about you.
If you were just trying to create a thread that got huge, this tactic is unlikely to work here, as the folks around here would tire of it since there's no real discussion.
