hair algae and snails

do the snails you see in your plants (clearish-gray in color, physa acuta i believe) eat hair algae? I think its whats causing Mango's fin rot. If not, what else can mango live with?

I had really bad hair algae in my betta tank a little while ago as well. Try a few days of blackout (I don't know if you have other plants or not) that seemed to be the most effective way.
