All I wanted was a filter sponge and got a surprise

So, I finally get my frog settled into his 5g and I never ever see him.
At least in the 1.5 q tank, I could find him. I have no idea where he hides now!
Oh well, the 1.5 was too small for him to stay in, so I guess I have to be happy he's got more room and I shouldn't be selfish.

I emptied the 1.5, to clean it out and put the filter and heater away yesterday.

Today, my daughter called her and her friend were stopping at the fish store, did I need anything?
I asked her to pick up some filter sponges so I could leave them in tanks in case I need a quick cycle.
They were on sale and I got a 5 pack for 44 cents.

I asked her how the frogs looked, she said they didn't look good and I should be happy I had rescued mine from there before he started to look bad.

A couple hours later, in she comes, sponges in one hand and a frog in the other.
She said she was joking, that they looked good and wanted to surprise me.
Well, she sure did that! It's a good thing 2 frogs can live in a 5g.
Out comes the 1.5 tank, heater and filter and in goes new frog after acclimating him for about an hr.

But, let me ask the wonderful members this, I've had the first one for 19 days, being that my daughter got this frog from the same store, from the same tank that I bought the first one. (They had a lot, and I doubt they got a new shipment.)
Do I need to quarantine the new guy? (Sigh, I already know the answer, but give it to me anyway)

Yes. That stupid chytrid (sp?) fungus is absolutely awful for amphibians, and it's spreading around the globe. Be sure to fully wash and sanitize your hands after handling either of them, too.

Chytrid fungus is correct. I have a thread about it in the amphibians section.

Thanks everyone, for reminding me not to do anything stupid no matter how tempted.

And Sir, thanks for reminding me about the washing and sterlizing.
