Is that a good deal? I'm thinking about getting it but I don't know how much a stand would cost for that. There's also a 55g with a stand for 150$ as well but I'm not sure what to get. All I know is I want to get a bigger tank so I can hold more fish...Multiple Tank Syndrome is getting to me...

I would do the 55 gallon deal. Does the 55 come setup like with heater and filiter?

We just got 2 55s with stands , etc and some fishes for $300 from a great guy on craigslist...we thought it was a super deal - Presuming everything is in good shape, I'd go with 55g - unless the 100 comes with filters, heater, etc. But a stand will run some duckies - what does the seller have it on? Will he sell it too? Have you made a counter offer? With mom' okay, email and send a counter offer and get details - what type of equipment comes with it, why selling, does it al work, etc. You may have already done that - if so, offer him a bit less and point out you have to get a stand.

As a mom, I know I was much more interested when Cory showed me a complete setup than a tank I had to add more money to so it would be operational.
