Well, I guess we are 90g tank shopping...

Well, we live in a double wide... and we were worried about the weight of a tank that heavy... well my husband talked to one of the people he works w/ who also built some of these homes (our home was made about an hour away from here) luckily when we paid what we did (embarassinly high) we got what we paid for.... our floor will support the weight of a 90g tank...

My husband said, well I guess we will get rid of one of your bigger ones... I said I guess i will saw your arm off in your sleep... .um.. take my first born! anything! lol... All I had to basicly say was I loved my 55g and my 36g and wasn't parting no matter what.. so I am keeping them. (yea, a MTS person giving up a tank... that will really happen!)

I told him the other day that giving up a tank when we bought a new one was like everytime he bought a gun he had to sell one of his old ones... He understood that concept.

I can't wait to get my new tank... got some cycling to do! Im going to have to look for some mega filters too for my bigger cichlild tank.

We are moving our african cichlids into it when we get it... We just want to move them into a bigger home (we have 16 now) not counting the fry I have been raising in another tank (I say they have another month before they can go in the big tank).

Then we have peacocks that need to go to the 55g. I am struggling w/ the stocking for the 36g but it will prob be a yellow lab chichild only tank.

Oh trust me... we will save up, and it will be buy the tank or I will be taking a lot of my prn shifts I get called in for (my boss gets a kick out of me when I take a ton of shifts, he says either I have a ton of drs bills, the kids need something, or I am fish shopping again).. and w/ this one my husband is going to build the stand, his dad is a great woodworker w/ cabinets so he wants to learn.. we aren't leaving craigslist out as an option either.

Congrats on new tank shopping!!! I found an 80 gallon for a great price on craigslist, so you should definetly look there. Oh I wish you lived near my because a LFS is going out of business this week and the whole store is 30 to 50 percent off!!! I went in there and went a little crazy today By the way, you could set your 36 gallon up as a Lake Tanganyika Cichlid Tank, a south american tank with dwarf cichlids and angels, or with Mexican Firemouths (usually they don't look great when you see them in the store, but mine is growing up and gets more gorgeous by the day). Just some ideas. Yellow labs would be nice though too.

Get... To acquire.
Rid... Perhaps a colloquial shortening of the word; ride?
Of... Possessive connective word
Tank... Large motorized war vehicle.

Ah, her husband was talking about purchasing the rights to ride in a large, motorized war vehicle. What the heck does that have to do with buying a new aquarium?

I really want to stick w/ our malawi fish. The water here is really hard water w/ a high ph and its really easy to treat for them. Not to mention the tanks are interchangable that way also. I love the other cichlids, but I would have to have a R/O unit for S American cichlids.

Perhaps it's to get the pet store to consider a LARGE discount on the tank. or every tank in the place.

Congrats! That's a perfect size for LM Africans. I loved the 80g I had 2 years ago.

Silly Dave. Pet stores don't carry tanks. You've got to get them from army surplus stores.

To heck with getting rid of a tank, I'd just buy more!

Congrats on the 90 gallon, that's going to be fun! I've been like a kid at a candy store with my recent additions and they are only 5 and 10 gallons! I wonder since they are only 5 and 10's if that means I can get 10 more to satisfy my 100 gallon salt tank MTS??

I had to laugh, my daughter called me today after I sent her the pics of my new boys and asked me if I need professional help lol....I said no honey, I'm already on a chat board to help me through this horrible obsession lololololol....

lol.... you know they prob should change this to fishsupport group for MTS but for what its worth this site is loaded w/ a ton of knowledge and info! I have learned a lot from here. (Im already a member of another support group online, for infant reflux, I am the asthma/breathing moderator I found that site when my 2 year old was so sick, support groups do help)

I honestly cannot wait to start on a 90.. I do have a 5g cycling right now to hold me off for a little while... for a new betta.
