Today I called work to give them the hey yea Id take the shift tomm night.. and one of my friends picked up... he just bought a 10g tank for his daughter... and he told me he put 20 goldfish in it!! I said, so hows that going for ya.. he said well the waters nasty... This luckily is one of those people that will take advice...and i know the fish store that was dumb enough to tell him it was ok to put that many in the tank...
He was asking me how I kept my water so clean that we made jokes about drinking the fish water... I let him know its about how you stock the tank and clean it... so I will finish the story off tomm when I see him at work... w/ loads of advice... at least I won't have to talk to him like a dummy.. he will understand the bioload being to high...

Obviously my "fish hobby" rubbed off in my dept at work, the nightshift guy I work w/ went home and started setting his 30g tank up a few weeks ago.. then this...
Yea.. he saw my Ad Konnings book on Malawi Cichlids.. and there might be a MTS going on soon w/ him...
He needs to learn about the nitrogen cycle, etc though first....

I just hope that my conversation w/ him goes better than my "hints" to my mil went... I was looking at the goldfish bowl today and said.. hum that specific goldfish breed needs a 20gallon tank at least to survive... I got the "well i change the water every 3 days" thrown back real fast.... then I tested the water in the 5g that is overcrowed and I said the bioload is too high, I don't want to even talk about that conversation, you just can't tell her anything! Shes going to have to learn the hard way... I guess I will just have to play "disappering fish" on her when shes not home.... so they won't die
