The croupy monster has hit my house!!

I am going to scream!!!!! I am officially having the worst miagrane in over a year (I am on 2 different meds for them and my immediate treatment med didn't even touch it today!) My 6 year old has allergic ashtma (which I am going to have to find out how to get him into the asthma/allergy clinic) and had me up at 1am giving him benadryl and xopenex (thank goodness for being a resp therapist mom!) then a nice little twist, 630am crawling in my bed barking like a seal my 2 year old... wonderful!! grrreat! I knew by his behavior he was coming down w/ something (he always acts like a complete brat the 2 days before he gets sick)... now I have the croup to deal w/... Not just the croup w/ this child but its the one who had 15 hospital stays the first 5 months of his life from a collapsable airway (laryngotracheomalacia) and reflux plus his allergies to certain foods, he has grown out of the above, but the airway issue and reflux the ENT and new ped said can be "relapsed" when he is sick... so he does sound horrible right now... Being a resp therapist the kiddos who come in the er where I work that sound like my son I jump on them w/ humidity and breathing treatments... here at home I have to just go w/ the humidity and try to wait the viral bug out... what fun
Fish tank cleaning day has to wait (they got a vaccuming wed and good water change, etc.. the water chem is perfect so they can wait until my mil gives me a baby break tomm)

Sorry for the rant... I can't stand to hear him sick.. its a re-living of the horrible 18 months of constant trips to childrens hospital to lung specialist, ent docs, and a gi, not to mention the hospital stays, the apnea monitor.. etc..

Don't the kid's know not to get crook on tank clean day?
Sounds like you have a lot on your plate at the moment plus a miagrane..
The tank can wait, focus on yourself and your kids, hope you all get better soon!

If you did a WC wednesday your fish will be fine. They could go until next Saturday and still be fine if you are ontop of your WC normally. I'm not suggesting you do that but they would live.

Thanks.. you all! The tank will actually be a relaxing break tomm. I actually enjoy doing my tank cleaning (weird huh?) good for my fish.. I do a change on wed, vaccuming on sat... but this wed they really need a vaccuming so I did it early... so today I was going to take the rocks out of the tanks and clean them they really need it...
I just noticed a long while back my fish just look so happy when I change the water/vaccum on my sced... and I actually feel guilty if I miss a day or have to put it off.. its just the same w/ stuff w/ my cat and dog not to mention my kids never have had a failed promise from mom...

I have all the lights off in the house except for the moon lights in the tank.. and Nemo on tv for my croupy monster (my mil has my 6 year old)... My little croupy monster will ask to watch Nemo on a loop 100 times over and cry if you take the dvd out... (he also has 2 giant stuffed nemos he sleeps w/ a dori, peach.. and a Nemo blanket...) he is obsessed w/ fish.. hes the one that got me back in the fish keeping hobby..

Yea, the fish should be fine. Ours went 2 weeks without any tank maint. last year when we were on a vacation. Take care of yourself and your kids. I know those kind of memories stink and you'll be happy to just get the little guys feeling better (and get rid of the migraine).
