I was shopping in walmart w/ the kids today and ran through the fish stuff... I found a family that was buying aquarium salt (well looking for some) they told the walmart lady that they had a fiddler crab and needed some.
I butted in because the walmart lady said we dont' have any... and told them they would have to go to the nearest town w/ a fishstore (about a hour drive)... well they told me the boys teacher gave him the crab... I couldn't belive it... my child comes home w/ a pet I will go off! Especially that!
The mom said well I was wanting a saltwater tank anyways... I told her that she was looking at a very expensive investment, and that the fiddler couldn't survive underwater in total saltwater.
So not only did the teacher send this kid home w/ this pet, she didn't send info on how to take care of it home w/ the kid... I told them the whole half sand half water thing... and how the crab would be ok w/ the freshwater for a couple days until they could get the salt for it... (mine did fine anyways)

I dread seeing what that teacher sends home w/ other kids! Poor animals!
