Tank water and the sump pump

My tank is set up in the basement I finished last year. When I do water changes, I dump the bucket into the sump pump and out it goes.... there's no sink in the basement, this way I don't have to carry the water upstairs to the sink.

I also have all of my equipment, test kits, etc... hanging on the inside of the sump pump closet door, so I dump the water from the test tubes there also.

Anyone think this could lead to problems later on? I'm thinking I can just dump a little bleach in the well if stuff starts growing.....

Thanks

LOL, sorry, it's the sump pump that takes water outside if water comes into the basement.

Thx

With a sump pump does the water sit there any length of time? If it does you might get a smell and does the sump drain into a septic tank? Would there be enough of meds. or testing liquid to mess up the bacteria there? I have a septic tank, but use a utility sink to put stuff in and then let the water run for a bit to flush, followed by some bleach.
