Painting

I will be repainting 2 bedrooms tomorrow. Each room has a fish tank in it... one 20g and one 10g. I was just going to throw a towel on top each tank to cover the exposure and then remove it when there is no longer a paint odor... do you think that will be sufficient?

Oil based? or water? If it's oil based I wouldn't paint with fish in the room. Water based should be ok.

I agree, Water based should be ok.
I have painted with oil based in the past.
But I shut all externals down and sealed the tank with a plastic sheet and duct tape for 24 hours.

Ok great. Thanks.

I am just really glad its a 20g and a 10g... I would have hated to drain a larger tank to move it away from wall or something.

Funny thing... I probably would too... and save a little paint in a jar... just in case I ever HAD to move it...

Come to think of it, tho... with the HOB filters, there is usually enough room behind the tank to fit a roller...
