Paint Fumes

I have to paint two walls in my room. (Painted other 2 like a year ago but as was doing other two diff colour had to wait and kept putting it off as was so busy)

Other 2 look awful so really needs doing. Anyway was wondering if the paint fumes would affect fish. It is a Juwel Tank and the lid is fitted on securely i only open to feed or change water.

i dont have a spare tank i could put in another room and transfer them too and as i live at parents house i can only keep my little darling fish because they are in my room. our house is bit cluttered so no space elsewhere. If i put a protective cloth entirily over tank and stand while painting and for day or 2 after and left my windows open in room would this be ok

thanks please advise

I would think it would be ok if you provided good ventilation. Do you have an airpump/airstone? If so, you might want to turn that off. Other than that I think you will be ok (you are breathing in the fumes, so they aren't totally deadly!) Anyway, I'm pretty sure they make the stuff pretty safe these days.
Maybe try leaving the window and the door to your room open so you get lots of fresh air in the room.

I was researching paint and there is a new non toxic paint which is like an eco paint without fumes and anything else harmful, it is designed for people with allergies and children and you can sleep in your room day u do it so sounds good, it is pretty expensive though and i have to find a store that socks it near me

I think you have a working plan here & they'll be alright.
