Blue Rope light

I was wondering if anyone has tried the blue rope lights?

It looks to be an affordable way to light my tank at night.

I'm just worried that it may not be too bright...

Thanks for any advice

Yes, they can be very bright -- much brighter than regular moon lights. My wife got the bright idea once to string them on the wall of our family room, and just one string was bright enough to read by.

Welcome to FishLore.

Interesting idea - I wonder if strips like that could be found with LED lights or the brightness could be adjusted with the addition of some hardware.

The only thing I found for night lighting was small individual LED lights, I have a green and blue. It's just the right amount of night light. Just can't remember where I got them, it's been awhile. I'll see if I can get a mfg. name to post

There's at least 3 different types of 'lunar' lights available for tanks. I use these (blue in my 10g, white in my 56g), but there are a bunch of others on this page on the DFS site.
