tank not clean enough

well as u call know sometimes not all the food u give to ur fish isnt eaten
and im not talking about over feeding this was something that sometimes happened to me and i also had a algae problem so i went to the LFS and i told the sales person my problem. she told me ur options are mystery snails or Pleco
and asked which is better but she told me well snail are much slow so a pleco will do much better so i went ahead and purchased the pleco. the pleco is doign well atm but all he or she does is eat algae and nothing else expect algae
waffles and cucumber. i have tried all kids of bottom feeding food but it doesnt seem to attract him. and its starting to hurt my pockets wasting 10 to 20 $$$ : for food that doesn't get eaten. my other problem is it also bort it to eat the left over food which it doesnt seem to do so i dunno what to do im kinda getting frustrated with food floating about i would love to clean it but that would mean to much water changes for my fish to handle so i dunno what to do.

so what choices do i have wat the best cleaning crow for a 20 gallon and even a 2 gallon.

ah and also i have live plants in my tanks so i dont want them to be eaten.

Usually corys are considered good bottom feeders, but my BN eat food off the bottom as well.

Your tank is overcrowded at this point though, so I wouldn't get ANYTHING else.

Just stop "feeding" the BN special. You can keep an eye on his tummy, if he is feeding on the glass and you can tell his tummy if plump, don't worry about feeding anything to him. He will get in the habbit of looking on the bottom when you feed the other fish, then he will eat off the glass and decorations when the other fish aren't eating.......

ok I think its worth a try BN spends most of its time on the glass atm his or her tummy is a reasonable size most of the time and sometimes really big. if this doesnt happen the way i wanted to should i look into Freshwater Invertebrates

and what about my 2 gallon betta tank

What is BN?? If there is a lot of food floating around, you might be feeding your fish too much.

The only thing I could think of would be shrimp but I have heard some betas will find them as a snack. Snails poo to much for such a small tank.

the biggest thing you can do to reduce food "waste" is to cut down on the amount you're feeding your fish, feed them a small amount, if they finish it in under 2 minutes, feed a little more until you know how much food your fish will eat in a 2 minute time period
