Yeah that's pretty much the extent of my abilities too. Except for photoshop, which we don't have now on our new pc so I have to use free online stuff and some pathetic program called paint or something. It's kinda funny since that camera is about the only nice/expensive thing I own. Seems I can only figure out how to make cheap crappy stuff work. lol

Or Photoshop Elements, at least -- much cheaper, and has everything from Photoshop that a casual photographer needs.

Photoshop is WAY to much money, even for Elements!

The best Photo editing software is GIMP! Here is the link gimp
I does mostly every, if not EVERY, thing that the full version of Photoshop can do AND is can handle Photoshop's file type. Oh and its FREE!!
See I told you that I knew a thing or two about photography.

Yea, I've heard good things about GIMP -- I may give it a try one of these days. I'm actually still using Photoshop Elements 2.0, which I got way back when. It's fine for my needs, and I've never seen the need to upgrade.

I must have done something wrong, but when I tried to install GIMP, it didn't work. Not sure what happened with it.

what operating system are you running? Mac OS X or Windows

If you running a Mac try downloading it from here from here

If its Windows you are running, then it should have worked fine.

Worked for me now. It was some sort of SQL errors or something earlier.

Hey I spoke too soon, my dad wanted photoshop so I just installed it today. hehehehe it's fun killing pictures....

I just touched up my bamboo shrimp pic...I want to see if i can tell a difference between the new one and my current pic...

Hmmm did I make the shrimp too dark?

EDIT: added another pic, just fiddling around with pics & trying to see how to make the shrimp most visible in a small pic...

Cool. Did you get CS3? The thumbnail doesn't open a larger pic.

You could increase the sharpness some, but not so much that it looks bad. I wouldn't sacrifice the full size image's quality for the thumbnail.

You want to ship us those habrosus' right? They're amazing!

I love the habrosus too...I'm considering breeding them if I can get ahold of some more. So actually I might have some available but it'll probably be a while. I might end up just breeding pygmaeus though.

Is there any way to put more than one quote into your post without copying in the text and then copying the quote brackets?

CS3 is the latest version of Photoshop. I meant the thumbnail of the shrimp.

Click the button to the right of the quote button. The one with a " and a + on it to select the posts you want to quote and on the last post that you want to quote, hit the quote button. All the posts that you selected will be in the text box.

Ah...the one we got is Elements 6. Good enough for our purposes.
Not sure why that one shrimp pic can't be clicked on
