| Do you have non-fish pets? Ullooo. I was wondering what kind of other, non-fish pets, you all have.
I, unfortunately, 'only' have fish. But they're still a handful! When I have more time, I'd love a terrapin turtle, a couple of cats, a dog (mongrel preferably. I love mongrels), a grey parrot (with a tree inside the house, that would be great!), a giant rabbit and loads of guinea pigs. Guess I'll have to wait till I retire.
My parents still have my teenage years cat. A russian blue. I love him to bits. And they have this giant dog called anatolian sheperd. Bit scared of him to be honest, he's just too big. |

We have the non-pet kinds. Our neighbour is a slob so he has rat infestations and they gnaw between our two houses so our closed-up attic space is constantly infested. It's reaaaaally horrible. |

| Re: Do you have non-fish pets? not yet! I used to have a Cat called Thompson, but he ran away and we never found him. Then we had a hamster called Toffee. He "misteriously dissapeared", is what mum and dad told me and my sister one morning, we were only little, lol , I think it was their way of telling us he had died.
Anyway I'm getting a tortoise soon. Can't wait!

Want to have a dog, a llama, a swan (that one's going to require a yard of its own), some sheep and goats, and a yak. Oh yeah, and ferrets. Gotta have ferrets. |

I get really annoyed when my grand-ma counts it as one of my fish! You're right, you're right. They are definitely other pets.
Frogs are cool and I wish I had a dog. |

Gwenz | Wow, a tortoise. That will be cool.
Gwenz and his mysterious pet Bermuda triangle house! Who knows, maybe the fish aliens are investigating other markets.
Actually, when I was little, a friend of mine told me that his dad (who was a bit weird I thought, but anyway) had SHOT his hamster because he thought he was a dirty animal and a vector for diseases! I can't even begin on the very many levels of wrongness of that particular feat, not in the least the practical side of it... Verrrry strange man. If you ask me, you should have a permit to own a pet! Anyway, might be worth checking with your parents that they didn't have the same bright idea (hope for your sake they didn't, hey, or I would run for cover the day you don't tidy your room)! |

Gotta have ferrets. | Ooooh, I just went to this great rescue zoo this week-end (they recuperate sick main zoo animals and give them a happy retirement with huge enclosures, stimulations, etc.). I love that place. Anyway, they had the softest lama-thing in the universe. No idea if it was a vigugna (whatever you call them) or one of these other types of lamas, but it was sooooo soft and friendly. Aaaah, the struggle not to take him home with me. I would love a llama.
My uncle's got swans (he's got this huuuge garden with loads of animals and every animal is completely attached to him. Really nice to see). Well his swans actually 'cuddle' him. He kneels down, picks them up in his arms (they're huuuge by the way) and they wrap their necks around his. Really incredible. He's definitely got the touch. |

(the heated mini brick house for guinea pigs in the garden, with lots of galleries). I am DEFINITELY going to do that as soon as i have a decent-sized garden. |

Go oooon. | I'd not keep one outside here. too hot plus a strong chance of fleas/ticks. a guinea pig would definitely be an indoor pet for us, but maybe in the future, we can get one.. although there's so many fish to get, the MTS is strong. |

| Re: Do you have non-fish pets? Yep, I don't have the problem so much as my boyfriend doesn't really travel for work, and he takes great care of them. But as we're going on holidays soon, I have no idea what we're going to do. I fear most of my friends just don't get that it is important to come by everyday and to not overfeed, etc. It's just for a week. (honeymoon), mind.
We're just going to Paris which is kind of boring for us as it's a 5hr drive (talk about exotic). But hey, he's never really been there although he was born there, so he fancied getting back to his roots and all that. Ah well.
But in the long run, I don't want to burden him with lots of pets which were my idea, so i'll wait until I am no longer a consultant to get more animals.
Anyway, rambing like a good woman. |
