Ok I took over a fish tank which had 1 african convict male adult fish left in it.. I got the tank all setup and water tested fine.. All 0 except a nitrate reading of 20 which I think is ok or normal... So Im really confused on what type of fish to add to the tank, I want to at least get him a mate for now, but what kind of female mate should i get that he wont attack? He seems very sad and lonely and is not eating... Please help! Also all the fish in the stores sale baby fish, hes an adult already? Does it matter?
