3 weeks ago i bought my first fish at Wal-mart. That same day i bought some fish at the local store.now 6 of my Wal-mart fish died already and my local store fish r alive a pumping. this is a message saying Don't buy from wal-mart!!!! that's all i have to say plz reply with ur stories

Well, Wal-mart has a corporate policy of "screw you", so they have to keep up with the company line.

I don't know how many times I've had to remind the oblivious people working there to clean out the dead fish from the tanks, before more fish get sick or they cause an ammonia spike. It seems like, if nothing else, having a gross little rotting carcass is going to drive away potential customers. But usually they say "I'll get it later" or "That's someone else's job" or something. I was talking to the live-fish-scooper, apparently, instead of the dead-fish-scooper.

I don't know - if they're going to kill their fish, they might as well clean them up.

I don't buy live things from Wally World, ever. As cute as they look...they will die shortly.

When I was in college, I was in a small town with few choices for shopping, so I got a couple bettas from Wal-Mart. They survived for about a couple years, they were great fish. Not that I'd recommend Wal-Mart as a place to get fish, but I had good luck that time. The Wal-Mart by me now has stopped selling fish, which I think is for the best.
