Re: Disappointment
Maybe I'm too new, but I have no idea what you are talking about.
Also, don't assume that nobody cares that his fish have all died, I don't even know who Inari is (or do I??), but I care. It's always sad to lose pets, and I'm sorry for Inari's loss.

Re: Disappointment
What are you talking about? I know that every post can't be answered right away, all you need is a little patience and some time to read the advise/congrats. When a post goes unanswered, it is not that we don't care, it is because everybody knows the answer to the problem.

Re: Disappointment
I'm not sure where this is coming from Inari's last post - see here: http://www.fishlore.com/Forum/fish-m...ls/done.0.html
Inari even thanked everyone here for the help they offered: Quote:* "I appreciate all the hellp that everyone has offered. I really do.* thank you and good luck with your own tank. " Inari
Everyone here is extremely helpful and goes out of their way to help other hobbyists.* *Maybe you're confusing our forum with another?

Re: Disappointment
I'm sorry you feel this way. In all of the time I've spent here, I've yet to come across anyone who doesn't at least try to offer some sort of advice or point of reference. Even if they aren't sure they will say so and refer you to another member. You also have to remember that we cannot see each other's tanks and rely soley on the information provided by the posters...It could very well be that the information provided was unclear or perhaps the advice given wasn't followed properly as well. There could be any number of factors as to why this may have happened. Never once do I recall anyone telling another poster that their posts weren't good enough to be answered.
Personally and to be quite frank, I think blaiming the loss of your fiance's fish on us and this forum is a little unfair.

Re: Disappointment
you know Mike, I looked that up too and was puzzled as well. But then I thought he may have posted in other topics that I hadn't looked up....This is all a little strange.

Re: Disappointment
I really am very sorry that they died, I think all of us here know how upsetting it is to lose just a single fish. Losing an entire tank must have been devastating. However, I don't understand why you are trying to make us feel guilty because his fish died. You just sound very angry and bitter, and you are trying to take it out on people who don't deserve it.

Re: Disappointment
Perhaps you could refer us to the specific post and maybe we can explain it from there.......pH issues just don't kill a tank instantly.....

Re: Disappointment
I am very sorry that the two of you feel slighted. However, this is a voluntary forum where people are not expected to reply to every question, or have answers to every problem. Looking at his posts now, and having read them when they were originally posted, he is having big problems with the water quality of the city. That is simply not a topic that I have any experience with, so I did not reply. I wish you both the very best if or when you start keeping fish again, and I sincerely hope that you never have to face such water problems again!

Tenshi,
I suggest you read this before accusing folks of not caring or helping...I think it might open your eyes to the way you've been treating the members of this forum.....

Re: Disappointment
I'm really sorry you feel like this, In all the time i've been here never had a problem and find that everyone definitley care about fish!
And from the links above i see that Inari got a lot of response as well as help to his posts.
I think its v. unfair of you to blame us here at 'fishlore' for his tank collaps. People here give the best advise they can and never "Dont care" about what happens to fish. If nobody answred his pleas for help, as said, perhaps he did not have enough patients, as posts cannot be answered rightaway. Also there are many reasons why posts dont get answered, perhaps the pple that saw the posts wrere not sure as what help to give/ say.
I'm sorry that yor fiance's fish died and the tank collaps, but i really think you should get the facts straight before you blame pple here for what happened!

In the thread about his PH problem people did reply and try to help. And in his last post on the forum Inari seemed to appreciate the help people had offered him.
People are very helpful here and will offer advice to anyone that needs it. I have nowhere near Inari's post count of over 700, yet I've had all my questions well answered by several people.
If you are bitter that the advice didn't work or that *not enough* people responded (in your opinion) then to be honest you really should get over yourself. People here offer advice for free and do the best they can to help you just because they are nice people who like to help people, if there advice doesn't fix a problem it isn't their fault.
Several people responded to Inari's request for help and you can't ask for more than that. It's not people's duty to respond to your question, it's a priveledge that you get for free from this forum.
Until you provide a link to where people treated Inari unfairly I think it is you that owes people an apology.

Re: Disappointment
Could the disappointment be about another pH cry for help from Inari? But even if that was the case and noone replied in a while, it's more likely to be bad luck with holidays/timing, than people letting fish die on purpose because the person asking for help doesn't write enough posts. Think of all the 3-post newbies who always get help.
Waking up to a dead fish tank must be really awful, Inari. I guess you wrote this when you were really sad and freaked out. I am sorry you lost all your fish.

Re: Disappointment
I think it's great that our members stand up for each other in a thread that smacks of sour grapes along with a fakeness that is in poor taste at best . These are the kind of people here at fishlore and we're always ready to help anyone to the best of our knowledge. I'm sure that any member who read your post, Inari, and knew about pH did help. It's very sad to lose a tank of fish but it is NOT the fault of anyone here at fishlore, NOT a reason to make up lies about other members and if you feel the need to do this anyway - at least use your real member account.

Re: Disappointment
I think it sounds like maybe he was really sad about his fish, and complained to his girlfriend about it, including unfairly accusing fishlore because he was not at his best and felt like being dramatic, and that she felt she was defending his best interest but didn't have the full side of the story. My 2-pence.
