I've heard rumours of such a thing, but have no confirmed answers from anywhere. Anyone heard of robotic fish or no where I can buy some?

Ive seen one on TV at an public aquarium in the UK ,but it cost £50,000 to make so properly out of your price range .It did look good ,it swam just like a reel fish and the other fish started to scholl with it .

Just do a google search on "robot fish" and you'll get several web pages to look at. This one has a link on the right side to watch a little movie. It does swim realistically. Maybe we can eventually replace all of our live fish with versions of these - no more cycling, no more fish diseases, just plastic plastic plants, robot fish, and tap water! How cool is that? NOT! It just wouldn't be the same would it?

That is a very cool robot.. but i bet it'll be a LONG time until they put those up for sale at the LFS.
