This website is probably one of the most awesome and unique things I've ever come across. I feel happy to know that there are people out there like me who love fish and other animals. Cause I'm in highschool still and well.... you don't find many people my age who have a good hobby (other than guitar, which is my other hobby, haha.) I just love this place.

The people at high schools if they have a hobby, it usually isn't a good one either. That is why if you look under my pic it says something about an anti-drug. But anywho, I agree with you. Ever since I joined I have had nothing but good advice that can challange any LFS any day and I know that between everyone here compared to the people at the lfs, we know more by far.

yeah, fish keeping is very addicting, i bought 4 tanks in just 6 months!!! did a lot of studies, i have other addictions too like guitar, tatoos and guess what .......motorcycles!!!

I can't believe 10 in 10 months!

I can't afford the idea of getting the best filters for the ones I have, and want to get! It is breaking the bank. I'm looking forward to the months and months of pleasure though of playing with them. Planning, watching, and enjoying the fish being happy.

if i had the space (which i can always find) and the money (somewhat harder to find!) i've have 10 too! the 4 i have keep me quite busy at the moment though!

LOL.. yea, we have a box full of stuff that used to be on our bedroom furniture.. and more boxes will follow as the MTS gets worse.

lol.. and years from now when they're in counselling for their unusual fear of fish and eggs..

Well I haven't kicked kids out of their beds, but only because the boy lives down in the basement, and it is to cold down there!

I do however have two of my kitchen counters taken up with tanks, and ...............

I just got home with my new, used 125 gal tank!

There is only one wall that isn't an exterior wall in my living area that has 6' of space, and it isn't in the livingroom. I would have to move the kitchen table out!

Bad part of this though is that we couldn't see the fish from the living room. Such a problem, but it will all get worked out in the next week or two.

lol! funny how you can ALWAYS find space for just one more tank, no matter how huge!! good luck susitna-flower! bet the family were pleased to see that coming in and the table going out!! put a plank of wood on the top and call it a fishy table!!!

That's a good idea, but the fish may get a bit touchy on nights when fish is for dinner!

you could even get those toilets that have aquariums IN them.. flood the basement and make it a tank for your BIG fish..

Good ideas hatch when you can combine your hobbies with work. So all of you who love your fish, are hereby challenged to put these good ideas to work. I want to see home hatcheries, new local fish stores, or custom aquarium builders! When you think of it, a tank over a toilet would be perfect! Easy water changes! And when one of our friends dies,

burial is just a flush away!

What we really need is a power vacuum. I am so tired of waiting for my syphon! If you could do a water change in 10 minutes instead of 1/2 hour you would be lots less likely to come back over to the computer and forget you are filling the tank.

I really bring this up because the vacuuming is such a pain, and the one I use, which is the best I could find, just doesn't have enough suction to clean a tank like I would like! I don't want fish to get stuck on it, but when I am cleaning out a tank with a bare bottom, I want the glass to shine! Any ideas?
