i was wondering if anyone knows for sure if the color of gravel would affect the color of some cichlids?i read if you have lighter gravel that dempseys won't ever color out.i don't know for sure.

I have heard that also. I do know my German Blue Rams are more colorful over dark substrate. Don't about Jack Dempseys though. Gunnie has one she would know more about it. She'll swing in soon I'm sure
