My camera doesn't work with the PC that is right.
Its a normal town except it is split in half by the highway (Not usual for Bases either), you need a military ID (we have special IDs for this purpose)to get in, most of the housing is the same (Sorted by rank), we are combined with an Army base (Fort Dix) (and that is unusual for a Military base), the work place has HUGE amount of room for the planes, we have an air show once in a while, military people go to Iraq every now and then (My dad has been in Iraq twice and is alive and 47(Also he has been in the Gulf War too* ), and our main stores are the BX (or PX)and Commissary go by those names (The BX (or PX) is run by AFFES which has A LOT of savings )* , Our housing (ranks remember?)barely has a backyard , you are not allowed to change your house (NO paint, NO new rugs, NO new blue prints), and FREE water, electricity, housing, heat.
My dad is retiring from the Air Force on April 6. He has a lot of job opportunities in security.

Peter243243, Thanks for telling me a bit about where you stay! Shame no back yard, that must be terrible!!! Epecially when you really want a dog! I bet it feels like youre also in the millitary? hey? I love wide open spaces! but at the same time youre so lucky to get to see loads of airoplanes!!! I hardly ever see! so your dad went to Iraq? thats cool, must have been pretty scary for you family my dad went there too, but not to serve his country he went there on business. I was very scared!!!
Thanks guys!!!!!

Re: Where do you live???
We have a lot of mountains around us, and it's really pretty. We have light snow every few years but not often.

Re: Where do you live???
Mountains and snow? Welcome to Florida. We don't have either.
This is the view from my backdoor about 5 mins ago. A fairly typical "winter" day in central Fl near Gainesville, with an overcast (it rained earlier) sky and approx 75+ degrees.
I am on 5 acres. There are 30 acres on the other side of my fence that is home to about 15-20 cows. It is sooooooo exciting.

Re: Where do you live???
IF we get anything it's in march or April when everybody else is experiencing spring time
Otherwise we usually wear shorts and T-shirts for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Re: Where do you live???
I am putting in pics of where I used to live with her husband and my daughter-in-law first (first 5) and then were I live now.(last 2) The last 2 are countryside shots and I live in town but I thought they would give you an idea of what Nebraska looks like, the first five are right outside of Denver, Colorado.

Re: Where do you live???
hehe where I live we get SNOWDAYS=no school, but I live in a school district with a superintendent that doesn't give us many school days. My sister got lucky and didn't go to school for two days because her school had a natural gas leak. I'll try to get some pictures of where I live when I have time, not as scenery as the rest though, I live more in suburbs.

On New Year's Eve we, in Winnipeg Manitoba, got a total of 15 inches and it was a wet snow.
kerryve- I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I can't really get any pics of it because my camera takes such large pics, but you could just look it up on the internet.

Re: Where do you live???
Ive got to visit USA and Canada!!! Its sooooo beautiful there! Chickadee, those photos are gorgeous! Youve made up my mind for me Rose! Does it get very cold in Nebraska? I love the cold!
Atm, When I was still in school we had HOTDAYS! we went home sometimes weeks at a time becuase it was just too hot, 46 degrees celcius was the highest recorded ever! children used to faint cos it was so hot! not pleasant I promise you!
Golden fish, I love sunsets!!! you have some beautiful shots there! Its amazing how the colours change in a few minutes!!! Its unfortunate that its actually our pollution that causes these amazing colours!
Tomh, 15 inches!!! thats a lot, is wet snow when its all sloshy and you cant throw it or anything?
Thanks so much! Its wonderful to see all these places without even going anywhere!!!! I really appreciate it!

Re: Where do you live???
Haha peter we had one good snow this year when it should have been a snow day but instead they let us out early, my friends and I went sledding it was fun. kerryve I'm sure there's some beautiful places in Africa too and it never gets near that hot where I am in Ohio, it gets down pretty cold sometimes but we never get school off for that, only for snow or ice or if you get lucky natural gas leak like my sister
