Hello everyone-- I am going away for 10 days starting next week. We have been diligently vacumming our tank 2xweek at least for the past month or so. I have a friend coming to drop in weekend tablets for feeding every three days. Has anyone ever used these before and are they safe?? I have read that fish can go a week or so without any food too-- which would be better for my 3 platy adults, 12 fry, and a pleco? We have set up the timer for the light to be on it's normal schedule--lets see-- what else. The water parameters are good and have been problem free for some time now. i'm nervous i guess. for my babies!! any suggestions, reassurance or feedback!! please-- Lila

Instead of weekend tablets just measure a certain amount of food into baggies and tell him to feed those every three days and they should be fine and vacuum the tank before you leave and when you get back. I'v gone a week and let my sister feed them and they were fine when I came back, another time was gone for over a week and had my neighbor feed them everyother day and they were fine.

i'm back and my fishies are all in good spirits!! thanks to the best friend ever who came to keep them and tabba (cat) company every couple of days!! yeahh!!!
